Mike Davis, a staunch ally and potential attorney general option for President-elect Donald Trump, threatened to put New York Attorney General Letitia James "in prison" if she continues to pursue legal action against Trump during a profane rant.

“I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term,” said Davis, the founder of the Article III Project, an advocacy group that pushes for the nominations of conservative judges, during an appearance on right-wing pundit Benny Johnson's podcast The Benny Show.

“Listen here, sweetheart, we’re not messing around this time and we will put your fat a** in prison for conspiracy against rights. I promise you that," he added.

Davis' comments about James came one day after he shared a post on X claiming he wanted to "drag" Democrats' "dead political bodies through the streets, burn them, and throw them off the wall. (Legally, politically, and financially, of course."

James threatened to "use the rule of law to fight back" against the next Trump administration one day after the former president's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, noting that her office had been "preparing for several months" to counter a possible Trump victory. The New York attorney general won a $454 million civil fraud judgment against Trump in which she claimed he inflated his net worth by billions in order to obtain a better loan and insurance terms earlier this year, a ruling that Trump has appealed.
