WOODLAND HILLS (CNS) - A man was hospitalized Saturday after he was shot and robbed at a motel in Woodland Hills.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were called at approximately 11 p.m. Friday to the Best Western Woodland Hills Inn at 21830 Ventura Blvd., east of Don Pio Drive. When they arrived, they learned the victim was in a room with an unidentified woman. At one point, witnesses said another man between ages 40-45 entered the room and began arguing with the victim and demanding his property, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.

The suspect shot at the victim, took property from the room, ran to a vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, where he was in stable condition.
