LAPD: Threat Involving School in University Park Area Not Credible

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - An alleged bomb threat Tuesday involving a charter school in the University Park area was not credible, authorities said.

Officers were sent to the 2300 block of South Figueroa Way at about 8:15 a.m. for an undisclosed telephoned threat involving the school, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Investigators determined late Tuesday morning that the threat was not credible, police said.

According to KTLA5, a bomb threat was made against New Designs Charter School. Police declined to confirm the name of the school or the nature of the threat.
