Man in Wheelchair Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A man in a wheelchair was fatally struck in North Hollywood and police Saturday are investigating the collision.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood Division responded just before 11 a.m. Friday  to 7843 Lankershim Blvd. and Strathern Street where officers learned a motorist was driving south on Lankershim when they struck the victim while he was crossing the street, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no further details available.

On Thursday, two pedestrians were killed crossing a street in Sylmar, where one of the victims was in a wheelchair.
