Motorist, 17, Killed in Two-Vehicle, Hit-And-Run Crash in South LA

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 17-year-old boy was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in the West Adams community of South Los Angeles, where three occupants in the other vehicle fled the scene on foot, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 1 a.m. in the area of West Adams Boulevard and Arlington Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

A vehicle going eastbound on Adams collided with a vehicle going southbound on Arlington, and both vehicles struck a wall east of Arlington Avenue. The occupants in the eastbound vehicle -- two females and a male -- fled the scene on foot, police said.

The 17-year-old boy driving the southbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle, a 20-year-old woman, was rushed to a hospital, authorities said. Her condition was not immediately available.
