Pomona DUI Checkpoint Cites 33, 10 Vehicles Towed

POMONA (CNS) - A driving under the influence/valid driver's license operation netted 33 citations for driving an unlicensed vehicle or with a suspended or revoked license Saturday in Pomona.

The checkpoint was held between 9 p .m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday at Garey and Monterey avenues, according to the Pomona Police Department's Traffic Services Bureau.

In addition to the 33 citations, 10 vehicles were towed. A total of 1,261 vehicles were screened during the checkpoint

In 2022, the Pomona PD investigated 95 DUI collisions that resulted in two deaths and injured 38 people.
