- More than 7 million tickets sold for Tuesday’s drawing also turned out to be winners – and a number of the prizes weren’t just chump change, according to Mega Millions officials.
- Two people who matched five numbers plus the multiplier won $2 million apiece; and another five matched five numbers without the multiplier to win the second-tier prize of $1 million, lottery officials say.
- Plus, 28 people won $20,000 each and 138 will each receive $10,000.
- Since Tuesday’s jackpot began accumulating, a total of 43.7 million winning tickets have been sold, per Mega Millions officials. Of them, 69 were worth at least $1 million, they add.
