Suspect Arrested in South LA in Alleged Assault

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - At least one person was arrested in South Los Angeles Monday for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping.

Officers responded around 1:45 p.m. to the intersection of West 82nd and South Flower streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

At least two suspects were detained at gunpoint, and one was arrested, police said.

It was unclear if the second suspect was taken into custody. There was no immediate description of the suspects.

No information was immediately available on the circumstances of the alleged assault.

The police activity forced detours on Metro bus lines 204 and 754, which were re-routed via Manchester Avenue to Normandie Avenue to 83rd Street to Vermont.
