NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A 25-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit and run collision in North Hollywood, authorities said Saturday.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded at approximately 11:14 p.m. Friday to Vanowen Street and Vineland Avenue where they learned the victim was crossing the street at Vanowen when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old woman, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was located several blocks away but it was unknown whether she was taken into custody.
