Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to an additional 16 years in prison for sex crimes committed in California.
- The former Hollywood mogul was sentenced Thursday in Los Angeles County court, after he was convicted last December on three counts of rape.
- Weinstein is already serving a 23-year prison term in New York for rape and sexual assault, in a case that helped spur the #MeToo movement.
- The new sentence will be served after the current one, all but assuring the 70-year-old Weinstein will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
