The death toll in Saturday's mass shooting in Monterey Park, California has climbed to 11, authorities say.
- The new figure comes after one of the people who were injured in the attack died on Monday, police say. The victim's identity has no yet been revealed. The 10 people who were killed in the weekend shooting -- five men and five women -- were over the age of 50, according to the Los Angeles Coroner's Office. At least 10 others were injured in the incident.
- Investigators are still trying to figure out why 72-year-old Huu Can Tran opened fire on the revelers, who were celebrating the Lunar New Year in the Asian-American community. Tran was later found dead in his van, the apparent victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police say.
