NHL Player Files For Bankruptcy, He's $50 Million In Debt

Professional athletes can make millions of dollars - and some of them can burn through it just as quickly.

  • Take Vegas Golden Knights goalie Robin Lehner, who filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last month despite signing a $25 million contract back in 2020.
  • Lehner claims he's in debt for over $50 million, and is currently being sued over missed loan payments.
  • The 31-year-old goaltender will have plenty of time to focus on his balance sheets - Lehner has been out of action this season while recovering from hip surgery.
