Snow, Rain Hit Western US

Lots of people are cleaning up after a major storm system that brought nearly four feet of snow to some areas in the Sierra Nevada and caused flooding in parts of Southern California.

  • The National Weather Service says an additional one to two feet of additional snow is possible in areas of the Sierra Nevada this morning, and winter weather warnings remain in effect along the California-Nevada border.
  • Experts say excessive runoff may result in flooding of low-lying and flood-prone locations and low-water crossings may be flooded.
