MALIBU (CNS) - A motorcycle rider who was not wearing a helmet was hospitalized with head trauma today after a crash on Pacific Coast Highway in a busy part of Malibu.
The crash was reported at 4:16 p.m. on PCH at Cross Creek Road, according to Lt. J. Jordan of the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff's Station.
The rider was trying to split lanes by moving in the same lane as a car and hit the vehicle, Jordan said. It was unclear how fast the vehicle was going.
The rider was ejected from the bike, and later airlifted to a hospital in unknown condition. A description of the rider was not immediately available.
