There's A New Online Dashboard To Help Flyers

The Department of Transportation has launched a customer service dashboard to help travelers get through the travel-heavy Labor Day weekend.

Starting today, travelers will be able to check the dashboard and see guarantees, refunds or compensation options offered by the major domestic airlines in case of flight delays or cancellations. It also allows travelers to shop around and favor those airlines that offer the best plan.

The dashboard is the result of pressure from Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who has publicly challenged the major carriers to improve service and transparency.

This all comes as airlines have struggled to keep up as summer travel returns to pre-pandemic levels, with mass cancellations being blamed on staffing shortages, particularly among pilots...
