A shipment of baby wipes crossing the U.S.-Mexico border turned out to be something far more nefarious: $11.8 million in cocaine...
The shipment -- which contained 1,533 pounds of cocaine, broken up into 1,935 packages -- was discovered last Friday by a U.S. Customs and Border Protection K-9, the agency reports.
"This seizure is a prime example of border security management and how it helps prevent dangerous narcotics from reaching our communities," says Alberto Flores, director of the Laredo Port of Entry.
It's unclear if any arrests were made.
