Some major companies are vowing to cover travel costs for employees seeking abortions following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Disney, Netflix, Paramount, Comcast, Warner Bros. Discovery, Sony and Meta have all confirmed they will all support similar programs.
Disney specifically reached out to employees today to stress that they recognize the “impact” of the Supreme Court’s decision and “remain committed to providing comprehensive access to quality and affordable care” for all Disney employees and their families, which includes family planning and reproductive care, “no matter where they live.”
Alaska Airlines released a similar statement.
"We will continue, just as we always have, to provide employees with extensive benefits to support your health and well-being, no matter where you live," Alaska Airlines Senior Vice President of People Andy Schneider said in a statement Friday.
