Bicyclist, 67, Killed in Santa Ana Crash

SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 67-year-old man riding a bicycle was killed today when he was struck by a vehicle in Santa Ana.  

The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue, according to Santa Ana police.  

It appeared the cyclist was southbound on Bristol Street and the vehicle was eastbound on Edinger Avenue, police said.  

Paramedics took the bicyclist to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.  

The vehicle's driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. There was no indication that speed or intoxication were factors.
