Zillow and Redfin have released new data that reveals the most expensive suburbs in each U.S. state.

The most expensive suburb in all of the U.S. is Montecito, California with a recent median sale price of over $5 million. Montecito, California is a suburb right outside of Santa Barbara.

California ranked second in terms of having the highest median home value. Hawaii ranked first for having the highest median home value.

Other pricey suburbs of note include Palm Beach, Florida, West University Place in Texas, Rye, New York, and Brentwood, Tennessee.
