LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Sheriff's deputies are continuing their investigation today of the fatal shooting of a man in an unincorporated area of Florence-Firestone in Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported at approximately 11 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of East 77th Street, where deputies from the Century Sheriff's Station of Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department responded and found a man was lying in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso, said Deputy Veronica Fantom of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no known motive or any suspect information. The investigation is ongoing, and there is no other information available at this time, Fantom said.
