LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Four men visiting from Northern California were targeted by robbers in the Beverly Crest neighborhood this morning and detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating.

One detective told reporters from Fox 11 that it is a ``very brazen and disturbing crime trend.''

The four victims were visiting Los Angeles for a birthday celebration and staying at an AirBNB rental property. They left a restaurant around 1:30 a.m. in the Beverly Grove area and told police they felt they were being followed.

They say they spotted a luxury SUV following them and didn't go directly to their AirBNB. Instead, they drove until they said they lost the SUV following them, and then returned to the AirBNB.

However, when the victims parked their car in the driveway and got out of the car, they say they were robbed by three suspects armed with guns.

The robbery suspects stole their property they had on them in the driveway, and proceeded to take the four men into the home at gunpoint.

Fox 11 is reporting the robbers stole about $75,000 worth of belongings including cash, luxury watches, and designer clothes.

Police did not provide a description of the suspects. LAPD's Robbery- Homicide Division is investigating the robbery.
