SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 38-year-old man faces charges of sexually assaulting two girls, one eight years ago and the other last summer, according to court records obtained today.
Luis Martinez Ramirez was charged last Wednesday with rape by use of drugs and two counts of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15 and two counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, all felonies.
Ramirez, who posted bail on Tuesday and was released, was accused of the rape by use of drugs and sex assaults on one girl in July 2021 in Silverado Canyon, according to court records.
Ramirez was accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in August 2013 in Santa Ana, police said. The defendant was related to the victim, police said.
Orange County sheriff's deputies said they could not release any details on the victim in Silverado Canyon because the Orange County District Attorney's Office advised them ``they do not want any information released at this time,'' according to Orange County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Scott Steinle.
