BELLFLOWER (CNS) - A man in his 20s has been killed in a shooting that is being investigated as possibly gang related, authorities said today. Â
Deputies with the Lakewood Sheriff's Station responded at 8:36 p.m. Saturday to reports of a gunshot victim at the intersection of Alondra Boulevard and Eucalyptus Avenue, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. Â
They found the man lying unresponsive on the sidewalk and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, Koerner said. Â
Deputies said the man had been involved in an argument with two other men when one of them pulled out a handgun and shot him. Â
Both men fled southbound on Eucalyptus Avenue, Koerner said. Â
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff's Lt. Derrick Alfred said. Â
Investigators said the shooting appeared to be gang related, but no further information was available about the circumstances or the suspects. Â
Anyone with information was urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
