Almost two-thirds of Ukraine's 7.5 million children have been forced from their homes since the invasion by Russia six weeks ago.
- According to the United Nations, 2.8 million children have been displaced within Ukraine, while 2 million have fled Ukraine to neighboring countries.
- UNICEF Emergency Programs Director Manuel Fontaine told diplomats on Monday after visiting Ukraine that he's "rarely seen so much damage caused in so little time."
- Fontaine then added, "These children have been forced to leave everything behind: Their homes, their schools, and often, their family members."
- How have you explained what's going on in Ukraine to your own children at home?
