NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Hollywood may be still recovering from the Oscars, but it's time to start thinking about the Emmy Awards.
The Television Academy announced today that the 74th Emmy Awards ceremony will be held Monday, Sept. 12, airing live on NBC.
The bulk of the awards will actually be handed out during a pair of Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremonies, which will be held Sept. 3-4. Those ceremonies will not be televised, but will be edited into a single program that will be shown Sept. 10 on FXX.
Emmy nominations will be announced July 12.
The Emmys are usually held at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, but the Academy hasn't officially announced this year's venue.
Last year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was held in a tent at L.A. Live with limited attendance. The 2020 ceremony was held remotely, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting from a largely vacant Staples Center and most winners accepting by video.
