SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 45-year-old man was charged today with sexually assaulting two women and a girl in Buena Park, Santa Ana and Newport Beach dating back to 2014.
Luis Arturo Gonzalezmonroy was charged with rape and rape by use of drugs for one victim on Dec. 30, 2020; rape, two counts of rape and sexual penetration by a foreign object for another victim Aug. 9, 2017; and two counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14 on June 25, 2014, according to the criminal complaint.
The 2020 alleged rape occurred in Buena Park, the 2017 case was handled by Newport Beach police and the alleged assault of the girl was in Santa Ana, according to court records.
The criminal complaint alleges he was giving the victim in 2020 a ride home and that she was under the influence of alcohol.
The victim in 2017 was a visitor from Japan at the time, the complaint alleges.
The defendant was giving the victim in 2014 a ride home from school when she was attacked, the complaint alleges. Gonzalezmonroy was dating the girl's mother at the time, the complaint alleges.
The defendant was being held without bail.
