LAPD: Man Found Dead in Van Nuys in Apparent Hit-and-Run

VAN NUYS (CNS) - A man found dead in Van Nuys today was the apparent victim of a hit-and-run that happened overnight.

The body was discovered about 6:45 a.m. at Victory Boulevard and Noble Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the man, believed to have been in his 50s.

The man's injuries were consistent with having been hit by a vehicle, police said. It was unknown exactly when he was fatally injured and no vehicle description was available.

A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by the city of Los Angeles for information that helps authorities solve a fatal hit-and-run.
