WEST LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities today were investigating a home- invasion robbery in the West Los Angeles area.
The crime occurred at about 10:55 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Butler Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to KTLA5, a man identified as Alex said he was returning home from walking his dog when he was confronted by three armed men who demanded that he give them his high-end watches.
``One of them went up, grabbed my wife, tied her up with a zip tie, and forced me to take them up into the room where I had my watches, and they basically took the watches and they were gone, two minutes later,'' he said.
``I work for a watch company, so I guess they kind of figured that I had watches.''
The value of the stolen watches was not disclosed. No injuries were reported.
It was unclear if the crime was related to an attempted home invasion that occurred at about 1:20 a.m. Wednesday in the 8000 block of Burton Way in Beverly Grove, where two men reportedly tried to force their way into a home but were scared off by shots fired by the resident.
