LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A person was taken into custody in connection with the shooting death of a woman in her 20s in El Sereno, authorities said today.
Officers were sent to the 5300 block of Hyde Street about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a shooting and found the wounded woman, who died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of her relatives, the Los Angeles County coroner's office reported.
Police declined to reveal other details on the person who was detained, but said the investigation was continuing. According to Fox11, the person taken into custody was a male roommate of the slain woman.
