TEMPLE CITY (CNS) - A man was shot and killed in Temple City today.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were called to the 9000 block of Las Tunas Drive, near Jefferson Middle School, at about 12:20 p.m. on reports of the shooting and found the man with a gunshot wound to his chest inside ``an illegal gambling establishment,'' according to Deputy Raquel Utley.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His name was not released pending notification of relatives, though the LASD noted he was about 30 years old.
No motive or suspect description was provided.
