Firefighters Quell Rubbish Fire That Extended Into One-Story Strip Mall

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Firefighters today knocked down an outside rubbish fire that had extended into a one-story strip mall in the Arlington Heights community of Los Angeles, authorities said.  

Firefighters dispatched at 4:09 a.m. to 3337 W. Pico Blvd. had the flames out within 25 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.  

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
