WESTLAKE (CNS) - A man who led police on a pursuit that ended in a three-vehicle collision in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles is in police custody this morning.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at approximately 1:35 a.m. to an assault with a deadly weapon call near Lucille Avenue in Silver Lake, according to a broadcast news report.
The suspect, who police said might have been armed, drove away as police approached and led the officers on a pursuit.
After an approximately 30-minute chase, the suspect eventually drove east again and at approximately 2:18 a.m. collided with two other vehicles at Eighth and Bonnie Brae streets, CBS 2 reported, and flipped on its side.
Police took the suspect into custody and three people, including the suspect, were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries.
