CULVER CITY (CNS) - A 22-year-old man police said has an extensive arrest history was arrested today for allegedly robbing another man at gunpoint in a parking structure at the Westfield Culver City mall.

Mathew Loera was identified as one of two suspects in Sunday's robbery where two gold chain necklaces, a Rolex ring and a gold chain bracelet -- all valued in total at $3,650 -- were stolen, according to Culver City Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Eddie Baskaron.

Loera was located at the same mall Thursday morning and arrested for suspicion of robbery.

The robbery occurred about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the fourth level of the mall's parking structure, Baskaron said.

``The victim explained that as he left the mall with his girlfriend, he was approached by two suspects, who produced handguns and demanded that the victim give them his jewelry,'' police said in a statement.

The CCPD had no further details on the second suspect reported in the robbery. Anyone with information was asked to call Baskaron at 310-253-6316.
