MISSION VIEJO (CNS) - An 86-year-old man was behind bars today on suspicion of killing another octogenarian in a Mission Viejo home.
William Wiley was booked on suspicion of murder, according to Carrie Braun, a sheriff's spokeswoman. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
Deputies were called to a residence in the 28000 block of Via Arriaga in the gated Casta del Sol retirement community about 1 p.m. Tuesday regarding the death of the woman, Braun said.
Wiley lived with the victim, Braun said. Wiley's family members said he has been diagnosed with dementia, she added.
