CULVER CITY (CNS) - Four men committed a follow-home robbery in Culver City early today, pistol-whipping one of four people and stealing items that included a $30,000 Rolex watch.

The crime was reported about 12:25 a.m. in the 3600 block of Wesley Avenue, the Culver City Police Department reported.

``Officers received a call for service ... regarding an armed robbery and assault that just occurred,'' police said in a statement.

``The officers responded to the location and met with four victims who indicated they had left a nearby business and traveled home. When they arrived home in their vehicle, they were immediately confronted by the suspects who exited a dark SUV and pointed handguns with laser pointers at them, while demanding their possessions,'' police said.

According to police, one victim was pistol-whipped, a second victim had his cell phone, Rolex watch and keys stolen during the robbery. A wallet also was taken by the suspects, police said.

``Officers recovered an abandoned magazine containing multiple .40- caliber rounds, which fell from the suspect's firearm after pistol-whipping the victim,'' police said.

``During the officers' on-scene investigation, they learned that the suspects were seen exiting the suspect vehicle and at least one suspect was seen with a handgun in his possession,'' police said.

The suspects were described only as four Black men wearing dark clothing and face masks. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 310-253-6316 or 310-253-6202.
