This week for our #SmallBusinessShoutout, we highlight Buono's Pizza. We speak with Owner and GM Frank Buono.
Buono’s started in San Pedro in 1965 as a Market and Italian Deli – it was transformed into a pizzeria in 1973 and quickly became the #1 Pizzeria in town. Buono’s Pizzeria had outgrown it’s small original landmark location and decided to relocate and build a brand new and exciting restaurant in the heart of San Pedro’s newly designated Little Italy (Buono’s was the first restaurant to open in the newly designated Little Italy).
Buono’s grand opening was on January 25, 2020 – COVID shutdown happened less that 2 months after opening! Buono’s is famous for their pizzas and also their superb, authentic Southern Italian comfort food with 3 beautiful restaurants that include al fresco patio dinning.
