They've announced that Spring Training will begin on Friday!
The announcement comes after team owners voted 30-0 to approve a tentative deal made earlier in the day by the MLB and the Players Union, which calls for each team to play a full 162-game schedule. The season is now scheduled to run from April 7th through October 5th, according to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred.
“I am genuinely thrilled to say Major League Baseball is back and we’re going to play 162 games,” Manfred says. “I want to start by apologizing to our fans. I know the last few months have been difficult.”
