Two people suspected of a home invasion in Ventura County were taken into custody in Lake Balboa tonight after leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit, and a search was underway for two others
The pursuit began in Thousand Oaks, and the suspects in a white sedan led sheriff's deputies on the Ventura (101) Freeway to the Calabasas area by about 7:30 p.m., according to authorities. The suspects exited the freeway in Woodland Hills and continued driving at high speeds on surface streets, colliding with another vehicle in the area of Hayvenhurst Avenue and Victory Boulevard.
The sedan came to a stop in the area of Gaviota Avenue and Victory Boulevard in Lake Balboa about 7:50 p.m. and the four suspects fled the area into the surrounding neighborhood. Two suspects were taken into custody shortly after fleeing. Authorities were still searching for the remaining two suspects as of about 8 p.m.
