`Spider-Man,' `Shang-Chi,' `Evil' Lead Super Awards Nominees

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``Spider-Man: No Way Home'' and ``Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'' each earned a leading five nominations today for the second annual Critics Choice Super Awards, while ``Evil'' and ``Midnight Mass'' each collected six nods to lead the TV categories.

The awards honor film and TV genres including superheroes, science fiction/fantasy, horror and action.

``Spider-Man'' and ``Shang-Chi'' were both nominated for best superhero movie, along with ``Black Widow,'' ``Eternals,'' ``The Suicide Squad'' and ``Zack Snyder's Justice League.''

Nominations for best science-fiction/fantasy movie went to ``Don't Look Up,'' ``Dune,'' ``Free Guy,'' ``The Green Knight,'' ``The Mitchells vs. the Machines'' and ``Swan Song.''

On the small screen, ``Doom Patrol,'' ``Hawkeye,'' ``Loki,'' ``Lucifer,'' ``Superman & Lois'' and ``WandaVision'' were nominated for best superhero series.

``Evil'' and ``Midnight Mass'' both scored nods for best horror series, along with ``Chucky,'' ``Dr. Death,'' ``Servant'' and ``Yellowjackets.''

Winners will be announced March 17. A format for the awards show was not immediately announced.
