LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Team broadcaster Max Bretos will serve fans Pink's ``LAFC Dog'' from 3 to 6 p.m. today as part of a series of events leading up to Saturday's season opener for the Major League Soccer team.

The LAFC Dog is a 9-inch stretch hot dog topped with grilled steak, coleslaw and barbecue sauce. Fans wearing LAFC apparel who mention the ``LAFC is back week special'' will get 50% off of the purchase and a free side of fries.

LAFC's Black and Gold Run Club will host a community 5K run today. Those interested in joining the run can meet on Pepsi Plaza at Banc of California Stadium at 7 p.m. Participants can park for free in the Gold Lot.

On Monday, LAFC front office staff and fan volunteers conducted a school beautification project at Payne P-8 STEAM Academy in Inglewood.

Good seats were available Monday afternoon for Saturday afternoon's season opener against the Colorado Rapids at Banc of California Stadium, but a sellout is expected, a team spokesman told City News Service. LAFC has sold out every MLS game where full attendance has been allowed during its four seasons.
