EAST HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Authorities today sought the public's help to find the hit-and-run motorist responsible for injuring a woman as she ran on a street in the East Hollywood area.

The 64-year-old Los Angeles woman in a crosswalk on Western Avenue near Virginia Avenue about 9 a.m. on Jan. 26 when she was hit by an SUV that was turning, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

``A video from a surveillance camera showed that the SUV is possibly an older model Toyota Highlander, maroon in color,'' police said in a statement. ``The driver was described by a witness as female. There was also a female with dark hair in the front passenger seat.''

A standing reward of up to $25,000 has been offered by the city of Los Angeles for information that helps authorities solve a non-fatal hit and run.
