If you are a fan of chicken wings and are planning on eating some during the Super Bowl… you may want to reconsider that as there is a nationwide shortage on the beloved food.
Due to ongoing supply chain issues, chicken wing lovers are now taking a hit.
Joseph Parisi, a supermarket executive commented on this shortage. He said:
“This is an item that has to be cut up and produced, so they need hands to make it happen. So I do have concerns,”
Compared to this time last year, chicken wings are now a dollar a pound more in price. Not only that, but if you are planning on hosting a Super Bowl party this weekend, experts predict a 15% increase in prices associated with hosting a party.
That being said though, chips and vegetables are noticeably cheaper than last year… so that’s a plus (I guess!)
