Authorities Seek Information in Shooting Death of Man in Lynwood

LYNWOOD (CNS) - Authorities today sought information pertaining to the shooting death of a man in Lynwood.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to the 4000 block of East Imperial Avenue near the Long Beach (710) Freeway at about 10 a.m. Monday on reports of a person shot. They found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and lower torso, according to a department statement.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released pending notification of his next of kin.

No suspect description was provided.
