We are six days away from the highly anticipated Super Bowl LVI game taking place at SoFi Stadium! With the game quickly approaching, law enforcement agencies have “RAMped” (see what I did there!) up security to ensure this game takes place without any issues.
This week will be filled with numerous Super Bowl-related events, including the Super Bowl Experience that is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Law enforcement has made its presence felt leading up to the big game.
LAPD Chief Michael Moore has mentioned that preparations for this event have been ongoing for the last two years.
The LAPD, deputies with the Sheriff’s Department, the FBI, Secret Service, and the Department of Defense will all be working in Los Angeles this week for Super Bowl’s week. LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva tweeted that Angelenos will be able to sign up for traffic alerts and emergency alerts by texting “INGSB” to 888-777.
To add to the strict security that will be utilized this week, the Department of Energy Nuclear Security Administration will be flying a helicopter that is equipped with radiation sensing technology. Not only will that, but Customs and Border Protection agents will be using a device that scans and detects explosives, weapons, and contraband. This device does not only scan people but also scans vehicles.
