LAPD Searching For Missing NoHo Woman, 83

Police detectives asked for the public's help today to find an 83-year-old woman who went missing in North Hollywood.  Beverly Armelin was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Burbank and Laurel Canyon boulevards, police said.  Armelin is Black, 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. She was last seen wearing a green jacket a bland-and-white striped shirt, blue pants black shoes, a gray hat a blue facemask and was carrying a large black purse.

 A silver alert was issued on behalf of the LAPD by the California Highway Patrol for Armelin. Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to cal the LAPD Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800. Calls made during non-business hours or on weekends can be directed to 877-527-3247. Tipsters can also call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
