Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who's been fending off a deluge of criticism since he attended last weekend's NFC Championship game without a mask, has come up with a reason for his seemingly unsafe behavior...
Although it's not necessarily a "good" reason.
"When people ask for a photograph, I hold my breath," Garcetti says. "There is a zero percent chance of infection from that."
Oh???
He goes on to say he wore a mask for most of the game.
The mayor became the target of critics when basketball legend Magic Johnson earlier this week posted photos of himself posing with Garcetti, San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Governor Gavin Newsom at the Rams-49ers game. None of them were wearing masks in the photos.
