Any frequent visitor of a restaurant has figured out ways to keep the menu items fun and exciting. Often, there’s a ‘secret menu’ of items that are a concoction of other items to create something new. Well, in this case, McDonald’s has embraced the wacky combinations by rolling out a “menu hacks” selection which enables customers to choose form four different combinations of their favorites.
If you’re like me and you love the sausage McMuffin with a hashbrown, you can take your breakfast game to the next level and have the hashbrown put inside the McMuffin to create the ultimate Hash Brown McMuffin.
Other crazy combos include a “Crunchy Double” where McNuggets are stuffed inside a double cheeseburger with barbecue sauce, a “Surf and Turf” which combines a Filet-o-Fish and a double cheeseburger (only available through the McDonald’s app), and the craziest combo of them all? “Land, Air, and Sea” – combining the powers of a Big Mac, a McChicken sandwich and a Filet-o-Fish.
All of these items will be available for a limited time beginning Monday.
McDonald’s has invited fans to create their own menu and share their crazy combos on social media. Sarah Sandlin, a social media influencer, was the genius behind the Hash Brown McMuffin. “I’ve been saying for years that the Hash Brown goes inside of the Sausage McMuffin with egg…that extra little crispy bite is the real breakfast cheat code.”
McDonald’s Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Healan said, “This campaign shows that it has never been ‘our menu’ – the menu belongs to our fans.”
