An American Airlines flight from Miami to London turned around and headed home after a passenger refused to put on a mask.
- Passengers were about an hour into their trip when the plane turned around and returned to Miami, due to "a disruptive customer refusing to comply with the federal mask requirement".
- The airline crew met with law enforcement upon landing at MIA. The passenger's current status is unknown.
- A record 5,981 incidents of unruly behavior were reported on flights last year - and nearly 71% of those confrontations were about facemasks.
- Have you witnessed any unruly behavior on a flight since the pandemic began? Should they have turned the flight around, or just continued?
