LONG BEACH (CNS) - Homicide detectives continued their investigation today into the death of an employee at a Long Beach bar who was fatally shot during an argument with a customer.

The shooting occurred at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday at the Crow's Nest bar in the 1900 block of Willow Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he died from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said. His name has not yet been released. He was in his 30s, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the employee became involved in an argument with a man who was a customer at the bar and that the argument escalated into a shooting, police said.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Detectives have not yet made an arrest, LBPD spokesman Richard Mejia told City News Service.
