Man Fatally Shot in Long Beach; Suspect Sought

LONG BEACH (CNS) - A man was fatally shot at a bar in Long Beach, and the suspect was being sought today.

Officers sent to the 1900 block of West Willow Street about 10:15 p.m. Sunday found the man suffering from multiple wounds, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he died, police said. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

The shooting occurred at the Crow's Nest bar, the Long Beach Post reported.

``Detectives discovered the victim, who was an employee of the business, was involved in a verbal dispute with a customer, a male adult suspect,'' police said in a statement.

``The argument escalated into a shooting and the suspect discharged multiple gunshots toward the victim,'' police said.

No description was available of the suspect, who ran from the location. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call homicide
